Our story

Kia ora, I’m a mum to an incredible 12‑year‑old son who is diagnosed with Takiwatanga and is homeschooled.

Taking a leap of faith, I wanted to show him through my actions that it’s possible to build something meaningful when you believe in yourself and follow your purpose.

Te Pā Tākaro is a whānau-led Christchurch business created to provide inclusive, safe, and joyful play experiences for all tamariki. Our kaupapa is grounded in Takiwatanga, honouring every child’s unique way of experiencing the world.

Every setup is thoughtfully designed with sensory needs in mind from choosing equipment that supports calm play to minimising noise levels from our inflatables. My goal is to create spaces where all tamariki feel welcome, regulated, and free to enjoy themselves in their own way.

This business is more than party hire. It’s a reflection of our journey, our values, and our belief that every child deserves a place where they can simply be themselves.
